About me

I have been an instructional designer since 2014, during which time I’ve created everything from five-minute eLearnings to multi-day instructor-led classes. My favorite part of the job is learning from subject-matter experts, then distilling their knowledge into a streamlined, accessible format. I am collaborative, proactive, and always open to new ideas.

I’ve presented on the topic of instructional design at multiple industry conferences, including Epic Systems’ XGM (Expert Group Meeting) in Verona, Wisconsin. Professional development is important to me and I’m constantly searching for ways to improve. (The best way to start a conversation with me is to ask what I’m reading.)

Before getting into ID, I taught English at the middle and high school levels. I live in Cary, NC with my wife and three kids, where you will often find us at greenways and parks with our lab mix (Clover).
